 Yes - cycled in - made much better time than previously. Probably a wind speed/direction thing plus more navigable traffic but I did overtake one cyclist. On the down side, a car started to turn left just in front of me on Great College Street. Not sure if he stopped when he heard me shriek or if he just saw me in time - will use that as an excuse if my heart is still going pit-a-pat and my blood pressure has rocketed later. The extra four blood tubes for the research team proved too big an ask for the circulatory system today. Phlebotomist had to make an extra hole in me as the first one dried up after ?two, ?three tubes. But I now consider myself part of the team - so proud - while waiting in the clinic area (1st floor), to pick up my extra research tubes, one of the research nurses asked me to run an errand as I was going back down to phlebotomy (basement). Another patient's tube barcode sticker had obviously been forgotten. I am considered a trusted fixture. All the usual stuf...

 It seems like more than three weeks since the last post - must be the effect of a rainy few days away in Devon. And a splendid day out on a Thames barge from Maldon with the nuclear family - early birthday treat. I'm the one with the binoculars, and half a cream tea inside me - important comma there. Couldn't manage the other half due to a copious pub lunch of salmon  in mussel sauce, so wrapped it up in a napkin for 'ron.  Coming to a modus vivendi with the olaparib, but unfortunately,  breakfast at 6:30am followed by the pills at 9am followed by a bike ride to UCLH doesn't seem to fit into it. If there were any green emoji in this thing's databanks I'd pluck one out and put it HERE. Anyway I'm in the main UCLH building for this scan and there's been a change of protocol since my last one.
