Chemo II - third cycle 30 September 2020

Apologies to regular readers - this should have published on the day but didn't and I haven't looked since (17.10.20).

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Here we are again, and this time accompanied by a little friend. I don't know how long it's been inchworming around my fleece but it's going for it at the moment.

I kept an eye on it for quite a while, hoping to find a member of staff who didn't look busy or caterpillar averse and who might be prepared to take it  up to the roof garden, but that didn't happen, and it did elude me eventually. All that inchworming must have been quite energy intensive, and the next time I saw it was two hours into my chemo infusion and, suffice to say, it was no longer inchworming. Very hungry caterpillar - no food - only one outcome. 😢

I was late for this chemo - couldn't quite summon any pace this morning, couldn't leave without my chemo kit and food, and didn't want to forego a shower. Then our route wasn't great, then when I arrived I had to wait for several lifts before one came with fewer than two occupants, then there was a long queue for chemo reception. But none of that seemed to matter as I was almost fast-tracked through BP, pulse, temperature, weighing scales and cannula - left arm fail, right arm good but anticipate pain later - into a chair followed by arrival of poison pouches.
